High Cross Quarter - Leicester
Client : Hammersons

Contract length : 18 Months
A major extension and refurbishment of The Shires Centre in Leicester
comprising a new two-level retail mall designed by international firm, Chapman
Taylor Architects.
COMPCO were involved from design through to completion.
New pumped water supplies were installed to maintain sprinkler protection
while part of the original Centre was demolished.
185 tonnes of fire-fighting water are stored at roof level above the
Centre, an engineering feat in its own right. New sprinkler systems were
installed throughout the extended centre to protect not only Landlord areas
but to provide connections to each unit.
East London Waste Authority - Frog Island
Client : Mouchel / Shanks Waste Solutions

Contract length : 6 Months
We initially fitted a sprinkler system at roof level to protect the building
while the recycling and processing equipment was installed. Subsequently, COMPCO
fitted sprinkler protection to the labyrinth of plant and conveyors. Three
water storage tanks were installed and a pump house with diesel and electric
motors constructed. Testing and commissioning were completed on time and the
sprinkler protection was fully operational prior to the site receiving its
first delivery of waste.
Thales - Crawley
Client : Crown House
Main Contractor : Crown House Technologies
Contract length : 11 Months
Part of the Project Sapphire works with Crown House Technologies, building
D houses production and test areas for aircraft simulators. The project
involved pumped water supplies, one 950 cubic metre tank and 2 diesel
pumps, feeding 7 separate installations protecting roof, office areas
and low level production facilities to FM standards.
