Our commitment to the environment
As the UK’s largest fire-engineering company, COMPCO strives to set the industry standard in protecting our environment.
Our environmental policy
COMPCO recognises that the prevention or reduction of pollution and protection of the environment is essential to avoid damage and contamination. The company policy is based on the consideration that the company is part of the community. It may therefore have a local and national impact due to the countrywide spread of its operations and the use of raw materials, energy, transport and the possible discharge of wastes. The company strives to minimise the possibility of waste by recycling, and the prevention of pollution to reduce it’s long-term costs, environmental damage, and danger to its employees and to the public.
The vehicles we use
A detailed review of our transport has led to significantly reduced CO2 emissions and a basis for offsetting these emissions. As a result COMPCO has chosen to use one particularly environmentally friendly vehicle for the majority of its sales and engineering staff.
COMPCO ensures projects are sustainable by using efficient materials. Working with WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) we adopt product substitutions, using more recycled content, at no extra cost. Likewise, we create and comply with site waste management plans (SWMP) as required.
By continually improving our systems, we aim to enhance our sustainability for the mutual benefit of the environment, our clients, and the public alike.
