We have an exciting opportunity within our Central London Regional Office in Surrey Quays for a ‘Trainee Quantity Surveyor’. Predominantly you will be working within the office environment, however you will have the opportunity to see working construction sites. You will work under the close supervision of our QS Team in Surrey Quays and the nature of the work can be fast paced to meet the client and project deadlines. The role requires sound logic, analytical and excellent communication skills and this is a permanent full-time Apprentice/Trainee role and is ideally suited to college leavers aged 18 plus.
As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will be actively involved across all stages of a project. Right from the initial project definition and brief, to design cost appraisal, through to procurement, construction and building use, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients working in teams, alongside other construction professionals (Architects, Engineers and the like). We believe that actually doing the work itself gives the best opportunity to learn, so you can expect to be given responsibility, and will need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team, all whilst receiving the guidance and support to allow you to develop.
Compco Fire will support you towards a degree in Quantity Surveying through external training. On the job technical Quantity Surveying training will also be provided including mentoring by an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
