This April, one of our talented Design Engineers, Matthew Raymond, is taking on the challenge of running the 2025 TCS London Marathon.
Not only is this a monumental personal achievement for Matthew, but it’s also an opportunity to support an incredible cause – The Royal British Legion.
Cornerstone Of Support:
The Royal British Legion has long been a cornerstone of support for Armed Forces members, veterans, and their families. Their tireless efforts provide financial assistance, emotional support, and community connections for those who have served our country.
“Running the London Marathon is a dream come true. Combining this with supporting a cause so close to my heart, makes doing it even more personal. The Royal British Legion is an incredible charity, and I hope I can play a small part in helping them continue their invaluable work.” Reveals our Design Engineer, Matthew Raymond.
Since signing up for The London Marathon in November 2024, Matthew set a fundraising goal of £2,000 and at Compco Fire Systems, we wanted nothing more than to support him! Throughout December, our Contracts Director, Kevin Jinks, and Content Creator, Em Bell worked together to host their very own 'Spin To Win' Raffle!
Our Raffle Wheel was 'Spun' every working day in December, providing all our employees across our seven regional offices the chance to win a prize! Employees could purchase one ticket for £5 or two for £10, with all money being donated directly to Matthew Raymond’s Royal British Legion Fundraiser.

With little over a month until the TCS London Marathon, we are delighted to announce that we raised an incredible £785.00 for The Royal British Legion, pushing Matt's overall fundraising total to £2,616.00.
This fantastic fundraising total is a testament to the generosity and dedication of everyone who contributed to this important cause, so, THANK YOU! Your kindness and generosity will have a lasting impact on the lives of those who have served our country.
Your contributions, whether through purchasing tickets, donating prizes, or simply spreading the word to other employees across the business, made this event a huge success. We were amazed by the overwhelming response and the sense of community spirit that brought us all together over the festive period.
Looking Ahead:
At Compco Fire Systems, we plan to continue supporting charities like the Royal British Legion through similar initiatives in the future.
